The endings on the adjective bunt are different after das and ein. When you’re using adjectives, pay attention to the word before it and the gender of the word after!

When something receives an action or follows words like um and für, the adjective endings are a little different.

Notice that only the masculine words are different from the basic form!

When these things are indirectly involved in the action, follow words like mit or zu or follow certain verbs like helfen, all the endings are ‑en! Easy‑peasy!
